CITY SPORTS AREAS.
ALLOCATION BY COUNCIL.
Tho allocation of playing reserves to winter sports bodies was made by the Auckland City Council last evening.
The Rugby Union and the Rugby League were* each given two grounds at tl\e Domain and Point Chevalier, and one each at Victoria Park, Outer Domain and Grey Lynn Park. They are also to share alternately in another field at Grey Lynn Park. The Football Association was allotted two grounds on the Domain and two at Victoria Park.
The Y.M.C.A. was given the use of two areas in the Outer Domain and the Hockey Association one at Victoria Park. No. 1 ground at the Domain and Victoria Park is to be used in turn by the three football codes, and the League is also to have the use of one ground at the Remuera school reserve if it is proposed to carry out the same arrangement as last year. The Hockey Association applied for seven areas and the League for 11.
