ST. JOHN'S PARISH AFFAIRS

At the annual meeting of parishioners of St. John's parish, Te Awamutu, the secretary stated that there was a deficit on the year's working of £92 ss, partly due to (he failure of three of the outdistr\s to pay the full amount of their allocations. Much-needed repairs to the steeple of-the old, historic church and the repainting of that edifice had to ho deferred. The election of officers resulted:— Vicar's warden, Mr. H. A. Swarbrick; people's warden, Mr. H. Holt; treasurer, Mr. .7. G. Wvuyard : auditor, Mr. (5. O. Jourdain; vestry, Messrs. F. Aldridge, J. Bent, R. Y. Collins, C. G. Downes, A. C. Cruickshanlf, W Mensforth, A. E. Richardson, A. .1. Shepherd and A. Todd; svnodsmen, Messrs. Swarbrick and Wynvard; lay representatives on the Hamilton rural deanery hoard, Messrs. R. A. Swarbrick, 11. Holt and B. F. Morris.
