CARNIVAL QUEEN CROWNED.

FUNCTION AT CAMBRIDGE. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CAMBRIDGE, Friday. Tho Cambridge Town Hall failed to accommodate the large crowd that gathered last evening to witness the crowning ceremony of tho queen carnival, held to raise funds for the proposed new I'lunket and rest rooms. Surrounded hv a large retinue, Miss Jessie Thompson, of Uruntwood, the farmers' candidate, was crowned queen. Tho function was a brilliant 0110. Among those presented at the carnival court, were Misses Ruth Router, sports candidate, and Myra Hart, citizens' candidate.
