OLD-FASHIONED MUSIC STOOL.

A NEW USE. To speak of & lumber-room in tlieso days is perhaps a misnomer, for so few people could devote a whole room to unwanted goods. But if in your equivalent of a lumber-room you have one < f those old-fashioned revolving music stools, bring it forth, for it can be of excellent use in the kitchen. Re-cover the top with a piece of American cloth—it is easily kept in positioin with large-headed lacks —revolve it to its highest position and use it at the kitchen table for many cooking jobs that would otherwise be performed in a standing position. It does not make such an obstruction as a chair, and when not in use may bo wound down to a low position and placed out of sight under the table.
