SIMPLE REMEDIES. A few drops of essence of sassafras or oil of turpentine sprinkled on a rag and put about the larder will keep flies away. Twenty drops of carbolic acid evaporated from a hot shovel will help to banish flies from a room, and a piece of camphor gum tho size of a walnut, held over a lamp till consumed, will act for mosquitoes.
