THE MORRINSVILLE UNION. ( BEST SEASON IN HISTORY. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] MORRINSVILLE, Friday. There was a large attendance of delegates at the annual meeting of the Morrinsville Rugby''Union. The report and balance-sheet showed that tho past season was the most successful yet experienced from all points of view. The union's representatives were successful in winning the Peace Cup from Hamilton and withstanding challengers from Thames, Mat a mata, Paeroa and Cambridge. The balance sheet showed a credit of over £IOO, after starting the season with a debit of £3O. The insurance fund showed a loss of £l2 on the year's working, but is still in credit by £B9. Officers elected wero:—Patron, Mr. J. B. Thomas; president, I\lr. W. Hogg; vice-president, Mrs. F. J. Marshall and Mr. J. Hart; committee, Messrs. D. R. E Campbell; C. Sing, W. Colson, B. Chap man, C. McDavitt, W. Hogg; secretary, Mr. C. Mclntvre; treasurer, Mr. J. Ford; auditor, Mr. D. Mulcahy; senior selector, Mr. C. Mclntyre; junior selectors, Messrs. W. Howard, Bodmin and Mcllardv; delegates to Waikato Rugby Union, Messrs. C. McDavitt and B. Chapman; honorary surgeon, Dr. Morrow. It was decided to open' the season on April 27. TE AROIIA CITY CLUB. [by TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. I TE AROHA. Friday. The annual meeting of the Te Aroha City Football Club was held this week, when 10 new players joined the club. In the annual report the secretary stated that the third grade team had given a very creditable performance throughout last season. The election of officers resulted : Patron, Dr. W. R. Lawrence; president, Mr. E. V. Fitzpatrick; vice-presidents, last year's re-elected; secretary, Mr. 11. Heathcote; treasurer, Mr. E. Jackson; committee, Messrs. T. Pilkington, T. Lockyer, J. Keaney, G. Grico and J. Kelly; club captain, Mr. G. Grice. A letter was received from the Frankton Club, asking for four matches. Three wero offered. It was decided that tho subscriptions remain the same as in the previous year, and that the first practice match be held to-morrow. THE OTOROHANGA UNION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. I OTOROHANGA, Friday. The annual meeting of the Otorohanga Rugby Football Sub-union took place last night, the president, Mr. A. B. Mossinan, presiding. The annual report referred to the successes gained by clubs in the union, Otorohanga having supplied sixplayers for the North King Country against South King Country. The balancesheet showed a credit of £5 4s. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P.; president, Mr. G. H. Boles; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. D. W. Selbie, R. F. Park and Te Ngoi Maika; management committee, Messrs. G. Massey, C. L. Browne, E. F. Fail-brother, and tho president; secretary, Mr. H Miller; treasurer, Mr. Eassey. It was decided to write to the New Zealand Rugby Union agreeing to accept Hangatiki's nomination for inclusion in the union. Messrs. 11. Miller and E. F. Fairbrother were appointed delegates to the King Country Union. Delegates from country clubs were asked to place before their clubs a proposal to play the majority of senior games in Otorohanga. It was decided to open tho season on Saturday. May 4. Mr. J. F. Trapski was appointed senior selector and Mr. E. I. Fairbrother junior selector. NORTHERN WAIROA UNION. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. I DARGAVILLE, Friday. The annual meeting of the Northern Wairoa Rugby Union was held last evening, Mr. W. "Montgomery presiding over a good attendance. The balance-sheet showed a small debit on the season s working. The New Zealand Union wrote stating that it had no money to lend. It was decided to hold the usual seven a-side tournament on the King's Birthday, June 3. Tho election of officers resulted Patron, Right Hon. J. G. Coates; president, Mr. W. Houston; delegates to North Auckland Union. Messrs. Walter Kelly and P. W. Brydon. The secretary's remuneration was fixed at £2O and tlie treasurer's at £5.
