MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.
ADDITION TO TRANSFER RULES. SEASON OPENS ON APRIL 27. The management committee of the Auckland Rugby League met last evening, Mr. G. Rhodes presiding. The following committee was approved:— W. J. Davidson (City). H. C.'atterall (Athletic), H. Soloman (Point Chevalier), J. Miller (Mangere), E. Redward (Richmond), B. Longbottoni, E. V. Fox (Devonport), T. Gregory (Marist), .T. Clark (Otnhuhu), W. Mincham (Referees), R. Shepherd (Northcote). W. Davis (i'arnell). E. Foster (Ellerslie). 'J'. Davis (junior management committee).
The transfer to Canterbury of .T. Clark, Newton, an Auckland representative player, was approved. The request of the newly-formed Athletic and Kingsl.ind Club for nomination in the senior grade A was deferred. After lengthy discussion it was decided to make the following addition to the transfer rules:—"That a, club cannot withhold the transfer of a player wishing to play for a higher grade than that which his club provides, nor cannot place the applicant in a higher grade." It was decided to award a special trophy to the team scoring most championship points in the second round of the senior grade A competition. It was agreed to extend the nominations for both senior A and B grades until next Wednesday. A request from the junior management committee for an alteration to the constitution of the. rules of the judicial committee dealing with a player being ordered off the field was declined. It was decided to open the season on April 27.
