Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received March 31, 5.55 p.m.) / LONDON, March 30.
A most remarkable accident occurred at Ootherstone, near Barnard Castle, Yorkshire. The ropes of a suspension bridge over the Tees snapped when crowds were crossing from a football match. The bridge was tipped up and immediately 20 people were thrown into the river, which fortunately is very shallow. Fifteen persons were injured by falling on to a heap of stones in mid-stream.
