The twenty-third annual prize-firing meeting of the South Auckland Rifle Association was opened on the Waihi range on Good Friday and concluded yesterday. There were 50 competitors, an increase on last year. Although rain made matters uncomfortable and interfered with the visibility on Friday, the shooting on the whole was good. The aggregate championship was won by Rifleman A. Powell, of the Akarana Club, with 227 points. Following are the details: — Auckland Match, 10 Bhots at 200 yds—- . A.
