An exhibition match was played nt Eden Fark on Saturday afternoon under tho auspices of the Auckland Girls' Cricket Association on Np. 3 wicket, there being a largo number of interested spectators. Tho two teams were picked from all tho clubs in tho association, and tho selection was as evenly balanced as possible. Miss Laura Blakey captained tho "Blue" team and Miss Gladys Gebbio the "Whites." TFio former won tho toss and elected to bat first, compiling 52. Tho "Whites" wero quickly disposed of in their first innings, hi the second innings they played more freely, giving a good exhibition of sound batting. Z. Twining hit out splendidly, compiling 41 in a very short time, and scoring four boundaries. Tho fielding oil the wholo was smart and tho throwing in good. L. Blakey brought oft a very fine catch at point, off H. Frayling's bowling against S. Adams. There wns a strong wind blowing, which affected tho bowling to a air amount, and the pitch aftei 1 the heavy rain was stiM fairly soft>. Urged on by tho spectators, who derived much enjoyment from tho play, the girls ran sonic smart singles. The majority when batting, however, showed a tendency to pull most of the bowling "round tho corner," and a little practice at moving tho foot over to tho oIT ball would bring about a considerable improvement.
