If. is announced that Mr. L. W. Robertson is to succeed Mr. J. F. Mackjey as locomotive engineer for the North Island railways. Mr. Robertson is afc present stationed at Christchurch, where he holds the position of locomotive engineer for the South Island. The date of Mr. 'Robertson's arrival in Auckland is not. definitely known, but the change will take place almost immediately. Mr. Robertson has gn excellent record of service with the Railway Department.
