The cheque for £5 given away by Harrison and Gash, Ltd., with invitations to view tho Morris Minor, was received by a City Council employee, Mr. Huntley, of 354, Manukau Road, Epsom. Mr. S. Donaldson, Mayor of Newmarket, was responsible for inserting the cheque in one of a large number of envelopes containing invitations. Boys' and girls' school and college apparel greatly reduced at Smith and Caughey's Summer Clearance Fair. Indian hand printed Bedspreads, single, 7s lid. Double Bed, 13s lid. Art, Silk, 70in. x 90in., cream arid colours, 12s lid each, at Milne and CJioyce's Sale.
