LARGE INCREASE IN NORTH.
NOTABLE SEASON AT RUAWAI
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] DARGAVILLE, Wednesday. The butter returns from the Ruawai co-operative dairy factory again show a splendid increase, both for the month and the season to date. For the month of January the' amount of butter manufactured was 85£ tons, compared with 57» tons in the corresponding month in 1928. The amount manufactured for the season to dato is 510 i tons, against 345 i tons for the same period in 1928. The amount to be paid to suppliers for January, 1929, butter-fat is £12,822> as against £8619 for the same month last season. The total payments to January 31, 1929, will be £63,386, as against £42,617. an increase of over £20,000 for the season. The grade has been kept at a high level. With prices for the output bright and a very favourable milking season the company should add to its record, which has already eclipsed all other records put up by the factory.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] •WHANGAREI, Wednesday. The output of the Kajtaia Dairy Company's factory last month was 149 tons Bcwt., against 115 tons 12cwt. for January, 1928. The total output for the season up to January 31 has been 630 tons 16cwt., compared with 507 tons 18cwt.
