TREATING COMPLEX ORES.

NEW COMPANY'S VENTURE.

The Waiono Sulphide Corporation, Limited, was registered last week with a capital of £50,000, divided into 200,000 shares of 5s each. The first directors are Messrs. C. G. White (Wellington), R. S. Thompson, A. L. Foster, Charles Adams, E. G. Banks (Waihi), J. M. Wilson and J... W. McCoy. The secretary is Mr. S. L. Smith. The object of the company is to acquire the well-known. Zeehan special claim at Waiomo and certain adjoining properties aggregating 590 acres, together with tho plant on the property for the construction of a mill and treatment plant with a daily capacity of 50 tons. The erection of the new plant' had been commenced by the previous owners, who were unable, through insufficient capital, to complete the work. A feature of the new plant will be tho installation of the Minerals Separation and De Bavay's Oil Flotation Process for the concentration of metals. In the past the difficulty of dealing with complex ores, in this case containing gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc, has precluded this mine being brought to the stage of production. It is claimed this difficulty will be overcomo when the new plant has been completed. The affinity between sulphide mineral and emulsified oil. whereby tho particles of sulphides are coated with an emulsion of oil and air causing them to float 011 water, will bo demonstrated upon tho completion of the new plant. Its erection will occupy four months. IMeanwhiiO the development of the mine will bo proceeded with vigorously. REPORTS OF MANAGERS.
