Entries for the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society's annual show on Friday and Saturday of next week had reached a total of 2165 by to-day, while advices received by the secretary, Mr. 11. E Kissbng, show that several hundred more arc lo bo expected. The entries last year totalled 2099, and the record for the show is 2220. Further judges have accepted appointment as follows; Light harpess horses, Mr. R. A. Bent, l'utaruru; Friesians, Mr. A. Thirwall, Matainata; Ayrshires, Mr. H. Hansen, To Rchunga, Dannovirko; longwool sheep, Mr. S. Standen, Royal Oak; shortwool shoe[>, Mr. C. E. "Vile, Bulls; school section, Mr. F. Brown, Waihcke, and 3\lr. F. Jameson, llowick; floral artistry, Mrs. G. J. Mackay, Onehunga; garden produce and farm produce, Mr. A. McDonald, Otahuhu. ' . At a meeting of the executive of the society on Saturday evening it was decided to extend the timo for the receipt of late entries until Thursday.
