MISHAPS AT MATANGI.
SCENE AT THE STATION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Monday. Several mishaps occurred at the Matangi railway station when 3000 sheep were being unloaded from a train in the darkness on Saturday evening. The train backed unexpectedly at one stage and a drover, Mr. P. Robinson, of Hamilton, was thrown off a truck and sustained a gash on the head. Mr. F. Phillips, drover, of Hamilton, had his hand jammed between a truck and a 8 a ' e - Two other men were thrown off the trucks through the engine moving unexpectedly, but they were not hurt. One truck was damaged by the jolting and several sheep escaped. Thev were recovered next day.
