BELGIAN SPY'S FATE.

FOUND DEAD IN PARIS. COUNTER-ESPIONAGE SUSPECTED Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received February 2, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS. Feb. 2. It is suspected that a counter-espion-age plot lies behind the supposed murder in the Bois do Boulogne of a Belgian named De Lattre. The man recently had tried to sell to the War Office a German device for stopping aeroplanes in flight. Close to the body of Do Lattre detectives found a letter saying: " I told them to give the documents for nothing if necessary. If anything happens to mo you will know it was they who struck the blow."

Do Lattre had mentioned -his fear of reprisals for something ho had done. Officers of tho secret service had shadowed him for some days.
