PUKEKAWA CLUB'S SPORTS. NEW RECORD ESTABLISHED. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] TUAKAU. Saturday. TIIO Pukekawa Sports Club's annual sports, held to-day in Mr. K. D. Orr's grounds, 'Pukekawa. Hill, proved (he most successful in the history of the club The attendance tvas a. record, being in the vicinity of 1200 people, and entries for the various events were good. The programme provided interesting sport, with a good measure of excitement in several close finishes. TIIO cup for the open hunters' competition. and also the Pukekawa Cup. for the 150 yds handicap, and. the Opuntia, Cud. for the 440 yds handicap, were presented to tlio winners bv Mr. W Lee Martin.
