MOTORISTS FINED.
- BREACHES OF BY-LAWS. , VARIETY OF OFFENCES. Numerous drivers of private and commercial vehicles were fined in the I'olice Court yesterday for breaches of the bylaws.
Dangerous driving cost Martin Darge Dick and John Mitchell Odlin each <l2 with costs, while Arthur E. W. Crouch was fine £2 with costs for speeding. A line of £1 with costs was imposed upon Malcolm Stuart Aimer for passing another vehicle on Grafton Bridge, John Taylor being fined 10s with costs for a similar offence.
Christopher C. Robinson was ordered to pay costs for not having a sealed meter on a taxicab. Harold Arthur Chambers was fmed £2 with costs for plying for hire with an unlicensed taxi.
A fine of £1 with costs was imposed on Frederick J. Dawson for passing a train car on the wrong side, a similar penalty being inflicted on William Curtis, who passed a stationary tramcar. Breaches <f by-laws at intersections cost Louis Amoidson, Thomas John Thompson, Lilian Smith, John William Bew, Oliver Cyril 1 jodfrey and William Arthui Gray, each I.os with costs, and Daniel Colmore-Wil-liams and Leslie Harding each £1 with costs.
Failure to provide sufficient lights on vehicles resulted in the following each oeing finer) 10s with costs: —William L. Lewis, Stewart 11. Crompton, Fionie Mimard 1 ere and Alfred H. Driscall. M. Marsich was ordered to pay costs, 10s, aid Neil F. Elliott was fined 5s with rusts for similai offences.
Breaches of parking regulations resulted in Frederick E. Horiiann, Cyril 11. Lewis and Victor Lionel Baker each being fined I with costs, and Henry Drake, Eflie M Hardlpy, John Kidson, Iris F. Humphreys, Charles 11. Talenian, Lloyd
