COWS STRAY ON ROAD.
FINE IMPOSED ON OWNER.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PAPAKURA. Wednesday.
An incident on the Great South Road at Runciman on September 30, when a service car ran into two cows straying on tho road, had a sequel in tho Papakura Police Court this morning, when the owner of the cows, R. H. McDowell, was charged with failing to prevent the animals from straying on the road. He was fined 10s and ordered to pay costs, £2 6s.
