MONEY FOR COMMISSION. PROPOSAL TO INCREASE. (Received January 16. S.SS p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY. Jan. 10. The Government has undexiaksn to ask Parliament to vote a total sum of £5.500.000 for the Forestry Commission on agreed annual instalments a period of 10 vears. beginning on April 1 this year. The sum of £3.500.000 was provided in tna last 10 years. The commission will also derive increased revenue from forest products of about £1.400.000, as compared with £775.000, the estimated figure for ihe first 10 years. It is expected that tlie.se sums will enable the commission to provide 225.000 acres of new plantation, to dJnote £1,000.000 to forest workers' holdings and to make grants for other purposes, including the planting of municipal and private lands and foiestrj education and research.
