Sir,—With a number of others on 't&ftj Hauraki Plains I am-"wondering when ; '" we are to have abattoirs erected in which the whole of the slaughtering forift&kS Plains will be carried out. At the present ' time theie must be 70 or 80 head of slaughtered each week, io say nothing II of sheep and pigs. The whole of thii u sold to the public without the same" in- 11 spection as it would get if it passed P through abattoirs. Surely the time for abattoirs is due. Health First.
