AFGHANISTAN REBELS.
FIGHT WITH KING'S ARMY. SHINWARIS SEEKING PEACE. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. DELHI, Jan. 10. The tribal revolt in Eastern Afghanistan appears to have ended, but, serious fighting is reported between the Afghantroops and the rebels under Battchasakao, 10 miles north of Kabul. Details are lacking, but it is believed that the rebels gained tile advantage. The Shinwaris, the principal rebel tribe, have sent their leaders to Kabul to draw up peace terms, and are holding Jalalabad as a hostage for their safe return. During the operations against the rebels an Afghan plane crashed in flames, a Russian pilot and another Russian being killed.
