A NEW FIRM UNDER AN OLD name. Jn the advertising columns of to day's issue there appears an introductory notice concerning the inception of a firm of auctioneers, Messrs. John L»iaid and Co., whose place of business is in Wyndham Street, opposito the Auckland Gas Company's premises. Mr. John Braid, the-' worthy principal of this firm, is extremely well known throughout the Dominion, having conducted sales of fruit, produce slock, land and general merchandise throughout New Zealand. Numerous friends will remember him as the genial auctioneer for Messrs. Head, Gillespie and Co., Thames abattoir owners and stock and general auctioneers, and as manager for Messrs. Griffiths and Co.. auctioneers and commission agents, Wellington, also as (he principal of J- Braid and Co., in. the markets of Auckland City. In resuming business Mr. Braid sincerely hopes to meet many old friends and acquaintances and will do his utmost to merit the esteem and support of the general public in this his new undertaking. —(Advt.)
