LITERATURE PRIZE.
The Council of tho British Academy awarded last year's Rose Mary Crawshay Prize for English literature to Miss Enid Welsford, English lecturer at Nevvnham College and university lecturer in English at' Cambridge, for her book on " The Court Masque. A Study in the Relationship between Poetry and the Revels." The prize is awarded annually to a woman of any nationality for a meritorious work on a subject connected with English literature. It has a yaluo of £IOO.
