CRUISING AND HARBOUR RACES
The Devonport Yacht Club will hold * cruising race this afternoon to Rockv Bav for keel and centreboard yachts and harbour races for the smaller classes. All events will start between the eastern end of Devonport Wharf and a mark-boat moored south. The following are the courses, entries and handicaps:— A and B Classes, to start, at <i.M. Course, from starting line,, thence round "Rangitoto and Motutapu, thence through Crusoe Passage to Rocky Bay, obsei\ing only Sandspit beacon and Bean Bock lighthouse as fairwav marks. Entries: Inrangi, Prize, Thelma. Moana. Waione. Windward and Kofiri. The handicaps will be declared this morning. Star Class, to start at 2.40. Course, from starting line, round Bastion beacon on port, thence round White Light buoy on port, thence round Resolution buoy on starboard, thence round mark off Stanley Bav, oil starboard, finishing at starting lino. Ola TV.', .Tune, Moa, all scratch. L and N. Classes, to start at 2.M. Course, from starting line direct to Bockv Bav, no fairway marks to be observed. Rakoa, on wind scr, off wind scr; Valeria, lrn and scr; Venus, lim and scr; Uairerc, orn and 4m; Malua, c Jm and 4m; Waima, 13m and sm; Rakiri, 14m and sm. M. Class, to start at 3. Course, same as Star 'class. Manene, Maia, Maroro, Maratea, Mawhiti, Matarere. V and S Classes, to start at 3.10. Course, same as Star class. Drono, scr; Wild Wavp. 4m; Waitui, 15m. T, X and Y Classes, to start at Course, from starting line, round Sandspit bencon on starboard, round Resolution buov on starboard, round mark-boat oft Stanley Bav on starboard, twice round. The mark-boat off the wharf is not a mark except at the start and finish ot the race. This course may bo reversed at the option of the starter.
