METALLED ROADS.
Sir, —1 notice a letter in the Herald signed "Good Roads," complaining of the great amount of loose shingle on some roads, and the danger ltjs to motorists. As one who has used many roads all over the Dominion I quite endorse his remarks. But there are good roads in some counties, notably Raglan, and .If motorists will take the trouble to go and see the road from Huntly West to Pukekapia, Rotongaro, Ruawaro, they will the best metal road in New Zealand, and * not a loose stone all the way, and especially this road was laid down arid maintained at small cost, thanks to the practical engineer, Mr. K. M. Wright, engineer to the Raglan County Council. My advice to motorists is, go and see it for yourselves, and note the cost. Up-to-date.
