DIXIELAND CABARET.
Tlie atmosphere of Christmas festivity and carnival spirit was present at Dixie ]:iii(l on Saturday evening, a large number of dangers being present. A new attract ion was the specialty dance arranged l>y Hex and Zonda. This was most spectacular and was much appreciated by (hose present. New lighting effects were arranged at the side walls and these cast a becoming glow over the many prettilyflocked dancers present. Among those were;—. Mrs. D. L. Buclian, who wore a frock of ivory brocaded satin and pink rose spray; Mrs, W. Craig (Suva), silver tissue and small pastelshaded (lowers; Mrs A. Craig, flame georgette and chiffon velvet; Mrs. Trevor Davis, gold lame frock, banded in jade georgette; Mrs. Ellison, almond-green beaded crepo de chine; Mrs. Mann, black crepe satin and orchid posy; Miss Martin, vieux-roso crepo de chine and tulle skirt; Miss Walters, bronze and green shot taffeta; Miss Murphy, black georgette; Miss L. Bowcn, rose-pink crepo fleuri and gold lace; Miss M. Somervell, beige beaded georgette over satin; Miss SQmerset Clive; ivory satin, with jado and diamante relief; Miss Riddiford, ijluo tullo and taffeta; Miss C. Russell, pastel-pink satin, banded in rose chiffon velvet,; Miss 11. Schischka, lettuce green and gold tissue, with rhinostone trimming; Miss Lola Nit?., deep orange and satin; Miss llall, black goorgetto beaded in steel and rose; Miss Molly Wonlcott, gold lame, nppliqncd in flame.
