In tho second lap The Hawk steered a very erratic courso and almost capsized. At the top mark sho touched Miss Arawa, causing the latter to foul her tiller lines. Tho Hawk then retired, and after doing another two rounds of the course Miss Arawa also gave up. Tho time occupied by Hum Bug was 9m 9s. which was three seconds faster than her time in the first heat. The officials in charge of tho racing were Messrs. E. L. Buchanan, A. M. Wilson, F.
