FOOD FOR SUMMER.
RISE EARLY.
Eat plenty of salads instead of cooking many vegetables, and eat fresh fruit instead of puddings. This, besides being so excellent for your health and complexion, will save you much work. Drink plenty of cold water instead of tea, and rise early, so that your housework can be done before the real and exhausting heat commences.
Whenever possible, serve the meals in the garden under shady trees. This is one of the real delights in summer-time.
