WEDDING.
On Saturday tlie wedding took place of Ivy Joan, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Long, of Walton Street, Avondale, to Charles, youngest, son of Mrs. and the late William Howie, of Great North Road, Avondale. The wedding was celebrated in St. Matthew's Church, Hohson Street, the, Rev. Grant Cowen performing the ceremony. Tbo bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of champagne georgette with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of roses, swtfet peas, carnation and asparagus. Miss Maisio Sullivan, cousin of the linde. was in attendance as bridesmaid and wore a frock of lloral crepe de cltine with a blue hat. She carried a bouquet of flowers to tone. Little Ihelma Long, niece of the bride, was flower put and wore a pink crepo do chine frock. Mr. Bert Sly was best man.
