■A\ e firs r. THE TYREMASTER P. W. Litchfield, President of the Goodyear Tyre & Rubier Company, Inc.; "President, Chairman, or Advisory Board Member of twenty-four affiliated or subsidiary corporations. Under Mr. Litchfield's direct charge. Good.ear has made mora than 115.000,000 tyres, and now crowns that unequalled record with the New DOUBLE EAGLE Tyre. THERE have been oversize tyres and extra ply tyres and heavy duty tyres. But never before has there been a tyre like the new DOUBLE EAGLE. It is something distinct, something vastly more than have been the previous attempts to make an especially good tyre. It is the perfect working out of an expertly planned endeavour to make the finest tyre the world has so far seen. The DOUBLE EAGLE is built to honor the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of Goodyear in 1898. Wherever extraordinarily lavish use of labour or material could better the result, such extra use was made. The tyre as it stands to-day is almost wastefully good, and naturally is considerably higher priced. Every tested principle of strength and stamina that Goodyear experience has confirmed is embodied in the DOUBLE EAGLE. IDENTIFICATION On the sidewall •/ this tyre you will find in silver silhouette the DOUBLE EAGLE: world mark of superfine quality and value, symbol of that Goodyear union •/ seasoned experience and youthful progress which has produced the tyre of tyres. Important Features of the "New DOUBLE EAGLE"' —the Tyre of Tyres The finest, strongest, handsomest tyre that money can buy. The deep-cut, tractive " All-Weather-Tread " is practically double thick. The toughest and longest-wearing rubber compound in this tread Goodyear has yet developed. The body of the tyre is built of extra-heavy SU PERT WIST cord fabric, to a new oversize dimension both in cross-section and overall diameter. More plies of cord fabric; more rubber between the plies. Heavy friction coating of rubber to protect cords from moisture. Special low temperature cure. The finest materials, the finest construction, regardless of cost. Every new direction of advance that young invention could contribute is incorporated in it also. In design, substance and structure it is the super-tyre—for those favoured folk to whom price is secondary to service. We expect it to have a limited production, because it frankly is a much better tyre than the usual motorist needs. Whether or not you will want to buy the DOUBLE EAGLE examine it at your Goodyear Dealers. Thm DOUBLE EAGLE being a special tyrt, made and told only undtr itt own name, Goodyear ha* built especially for it an equally tuperior inner tube—and call* thi* distinguished buff-coloured tube t alto the DOUBLE EAGLE. m m m i ■/, m \ \ % 7, \ % % v.
