The first round of tho medal handicap for he Wiseman Cup was played by members >f the Maungakiekio Golf Club at Ono Tree lill on Saturday as an opening of the summer competitions. There was_ ft good, sntry, and with the course playing .J iome good scores were returned. Followng were the best cards for the day:—J. Murray, 81, 12-00; W. Calderwood, 80, 16— 0; W. J. Hockin, S5. J4—7l; .7. A. Stewart, fl, 17—71; W E. Anderson. 93, 25—<3; G. loodwin, 03, 20-73; S. N. Hunter, 81, (-73: 11. E. Webster, 89, 15-74; P. I'raser, 13. 18—75; A. K. Hnwley, 85, 10—75; H. ilalliday, 93, 18-75. The second round will ie played next Saturday, partners to be lrawn. TITIRANGI LADIES' CLUB. Following were the best cards returned n tho medal handicap played by members >f tho Tilirangi Ladies' Golf Club:—Mrs. Roberts, 97. 21—7G; Mrs. Deighton, 84, 3 51; Mrs. Goldwnter, 111, 28—83. A medal handicap will bo played next L'hursday, play slarling at 10 o clock, players to chooso partners.
