RAILWAY STATIONS.
SIX NEW BUILDINGS.
THE WESTFIELD DEVIATION. ACCEPTANCE OF A TENDER. Tho ton tier of J. \V Bambury, Limited, of Auckland, for the erection of the six new stations on the Westfield railway deviation has been accepted by tho Public Works Department. The price is approxi inately £6400.
All six stations are uniform in design, md will be constructed of wood, with tiled roofs. The Orakei station will serve the new garden suburb of Orakei and the eastern llomuera district centred at the foot of Orakei Road. The Purewa station will bo situated a mile further up Purewa (iully. Glen Innes will be located just to the north of Point England Road, and the Marama station will be a milo furthei long, near the base of Mount Wellington Tho I'anmure station will occupy a site in the triangle formed by the intersec lion of tho Mount Wellington highway and the Ellerslie-Panmuro Road, to the west of Panmure Basin, Vhilo tho sixth station, that of Sylvia Park, is to be placed just to the west of the Mount Wellington highway. The work is to bo put in hand immediately, and the conditions of tender stipulate that it must be completed within six months.
