PROBLEM IN ITALY. MUSSOLINI TAKES ACTION. Australian and N.Z. Press Association, (Received November 2-». t>.t"> y.inj ROMK. Nov. 2:1. The Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, falls attention to tho fact that during tin; half-year ended June 30 the natural increase iri the urban population of Italy vas only 12.000, whereas in eight towns alono the increase by rural influx totalled 68,621.
Signor Mussolini declares that ho will xvuhiu 18 months clear out tho surplus immigrants from tho country who havo not found work in the towns, and will prevent any more from leaving the country.
Italy, he says, is spending more than she. can afford on bricks and mortar in the towns. The money would be better spent in reclaiming waste land and rebuilding decayed cottages.
