"ALICE IN WONDERLAND."
MS. SOLD FOR £30,000. It was lately announced in New York that the original manuscript of " Alice in Wonderland," for which Dr. Rosenbach paid £15,000, at Sotheby's last April, has now been sold for £30.000. Tho purchaser is Mr. Eldridgo R Johnston, founder and a former president of the Victor Talking Machino Company, who lives in Morristown, New Jersey The purchase price includes tho matin script and two copies of the first edition of " Alice." Theso three volfimos have reposed since last Juno in a glass case in Philadelphia Frco Library, and it is estimated that half a million people have inspected them.
