SILK STOCKING WISDOM.
Do not pull, rub or wring out
Hang in a current of air to diy
Sun, fire, hot water, radiators, and any direct heat will impoverish the threads and make the stockings prono to " ladder."
Remember, do not pull. Do not rub. Do not wring out. Just f.hako na much of'tho clear, cohl, rinsing water out as you can.
A friend of mine, whoso stockings nro noted for their long lives, puts it down to tho fact that she "runs" them through water each time thoy nro worn, says a writer. The water should be soapy and almost cold.
