ANNUAL EXAMINATIONS.
THE MATRICULATION TESTS. AUCKLAND ARRANGEMENTS. Examinations for matriculation, medical, dental, engineering and accountants' preliminary, preliminary science for certificate of proficiency in dental surgery, university junior scholarships and intermediate music bachelor will begin on Tuesday, December 4, ending for matriculation, etc., on Thursday, December 13, and for scholarships a day later. The main centre for Auckland is the University College, the numbers there being:—Matriculation, 270 (including 82 girls); intermediate music bachelor, 4; accountancy preliminary, 88 (including 2 girls) ; and scholarships, 41. Attached to the University College arc the following sub-centres:—Scots Hall, 344 boys; Grammar School, Takapuna, 16 bojs and 16 girls; .Auckland Girls' Grammar School, 96; Epsom Girls' Grammar School, 77; Sacred Heart College, 29; King's College, 51. Scots Hall will bo used for the examination of candidates from the Auckland Grammar School and the Boys' Grammar School, Mount Albert, alone. All candidates for scholarships will be examined at the University College, including Auckland Grammar School, 19; Grammar School, Mount Albert, 5; Auckland Girls' Grammar School, 5; Epsom Girls Grammar School, 6; Sacred Heart College, 4; King's College, 2. The total number of candidates for Auckland Centre iR 1032. There are 68 centres throughout 'he Dominion, those nearest Auckland being Whangarei, Dargaville.
