DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
NO WATER AVAILABLE. GREAT DAMAGE CAUSED. SYDNEY. Nov. 22. A firo at Church Point, Pittwater, on the coast north of Sydney, destroyed a general store, Ihe post office, refreshment rooms, a bank, a garage, several motor cars, a launch and 40 boats. The dam ago is estimated at thousands of pounds. A curious featuro of tho firo was that it was first noticed by a resident on tho opposite side of tho bay His inquiries by telephone first called attention to tho outbroa k. No water was available fo£ the suppression of tho flames.
