A eh.trge of stealing eight small sums of money, comprising six amounts of 2s 6d, one of 2s ami ono of 4s, was preferred against Annie. Teresa Campbell, aged 18, in I lie Pukekohc Police Court to-day. Accused pleaded guilty. It was stated that accused had been collecting without authority at. Whangarata and l'okeno for a women's organisation, and had failed to pay these amounts to the organisalion. Accused was convicted and discharged and ordered to make restitution of the amounts. The magistrate warned her that if she again lapsed into dishonesty she would be committed to au institution
