VISIT OF PRINCESS MARY
INSPECTION AT PORTSMOUTH

Princess Mary visited Portsmouth to-day and inspected tho new Australian cruiser Canberra. Admiral Sir Osmond de Brock, the Cominander-iiirChief and LieutenantCommander L. F. Gilling, of the Australian Navy received 'the Princess, Thousands of persons witnessed her progress to tho dockyard.
Tho crow of the Canberra lined the decks. Tho officers and a marine bund vera on tho quarter-deck. As the Princess stepped on to the deck a Royal salute Mas fired. Captain Mas.spy welcomed her and escorted her over the ship. 'I he very modern conking devices interested the Princess keenly.
The Princess presented to Ihe ship a silver rose bowl inscribed, "(!ood Luck to the Canberra and all who sail m her." .As the Princess descended the gangway the crew gave rousing cheers for the Princess, who smilingly waved her hand. She afterwards inspected Nelson's Victory, which is alongsido the Canberra.
