Sir Alexander Roberts and Messrs. W. A. Kiely. L. 0. 11. Tripp. M. J. Cromhio and W. E. A. Gill were present ut monthly meeting of the New Zealand GoU Council. Mr. W. E. A. Gill was re-elcr.lcd chairman and Sir Alexander Roberts vicechairman.

Tho question the formation of district sub-ussociations, regarding which a rec-im-inundation was passed at the annual general meeting, was considered, and it was decided that in tho meantime an amending rule In tho association's constitution should bo drafted and circulated to club# for their consideration. The sub-committee appointed to draft the amendment was C'rombic, Tripp and Kiely. It v.as further resolved to writo to the Royal end Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews for details regarding tho working of sub-associations, and also to Mr. C. JLI. Redhead.

In connection with the championship meeting held at Dunedm, it was agreed to piovido an additional minii'turc of the Jcllicoe Cup, which has resulted jti a tie between Mr. T. 11. Horton and E. S. Douglas. U was resolved to send to the committee mid secretary of the Otago Golf Club a letter of appreciation of the excellent vay jh which tho tournament, was arranged and managed.

With regard to next year's tournament it was decided lo notify tho Wanganui Go]/ Club that the council would have a preliminary inspection of tho Belmont course niad#. with a view lo holding the championship meeting there next year. The matter of standard scratch scores wag considered, and it was resolved to notify all clubs that tho standard scratch scorch allotted to them should bo adopted as from January 1 next. Those clubs which have not yet applied for a standard scratch scoro are to be asked to do so at once, ho us to bring all clubs into line as regards -j, scoro for their courses and handicapping. As a preliminary btep toward tho arrangements for the next Kirk-Windeyer Cup competition a letter will bo sent to the Australian Golf Union advising that New Zealand was prepared to send over a team next ycai.
