MONEY FOR SCHOOL.
BOARD AND DARGAVILLE. "We have liatl mote trouble with Ibe Dargaville School Committee than with any other," said Mr. A. Burns, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, yesterday, when the committee advised that the Minister of Education was prepared to recommend that the board should Riant (ha committee an additional sum of ilbO m aid of lhe school fund.
Mr. Burns said £l9B had been granted to the committee during the past fivo years, in addition to llie ordinary capitation allowance. It would not be doing justice to oilier committees to make further grants. The committee w;is wclcomo to any money it could obtain from the Minister. Mr. Burn:, said be had noticed that members of the committee had threatened to resign, but he would remind them that such a step would not relieve thein of responsibility. No action was taken by the board.
