ARMISTICE ANNIVERSARY.
COMMEMORATIVE MEETING.
Apart from specially-arranged services in the various churches, the Armistice Day anniversary, which falls next Sunday, will be marked by a commemorative gathering at (lie. Town Hall, over which the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, will preside. The meeting will be held in the afternoon under the auspices of (ho League of Nations Union and kindred organisations. Several addresses will be given, and, on behalf of the League of Nations Union, Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., will put forward a motion, expressing detestation of war and an earnest desire for peace and genoral disarmament, based 011 international friendship and co-operation.
