CONCERT AND DANCE.
An enjoyable concert and dance was arranged by the thirty-fifth company of Senior Cadets at the. Devonport Parish Ilal! last evening. The ' hall had been decorated witli ferns and fhics and on the stage wore numbers of native pot plants, as well as foliage. The programme, which included - songs, sketches, violin and banjo solos, as well as humorous and instrumental items, was much appreciated by tho large number present. Those contributing items were :—Miss Doreen O'Leary, Miss N. Lingard, Mis? Yvonne Arlen, Mr Ilex Yates, Mr. L. McGann, Mr. Woods, Mr. F. Jones, Mr. Newmarsh, Mr. L. Keven, Mr. G. Mount, Mr. Kyle, Mr. Kay, Mr Colin Shorter, Mr. S. Smith. The military sketch was given by Mr. Parkinson, Mr. Poland, Mr. F. Bunco, Mr. 11. Williams, Mr Hascldenc, Mr. N. Spinley and Mr. V. Wilson The accompanist was Mrs. A. Jones. The organisation of the evening was due to the work of tho scnioi boys of the company, supervised by Mr, It. M. MacMurtrie, and tho funds were in aid of the social benefit of tho company The programme was concluded with a dance for which the Hitz Revellers played tho music.
