The Devonport sub-briilicli oi I lie .Navy League held its annual ba/.aar at its
rooms in Devonport yesterday allernoon and 111 is was officially opened bv Mr. Alex Harris. Decorated with bright paper flowers and streamers the. stalls looked most attractive, the large variety of articles l>eing effectively arranged on each. A novel idea was the "pirate
stall." which contained a hidden treasure I and the Indies in charge of this were j dressed as pirates. The stallholders were | as follows:- -Spring stall, Mrs. R. Cle- ' land. Mrs. Bullintore and Mrs. Palmer: <weets. Miss Jean Munri. Miss If. latton, j Miss f. Soraggon and Miss K. Bogerson: pirate stall, Miss Melville, Miss Wyatt | and Miss Redmond: produce. Mrs. Wrig- j ley, Miss Wriglev. Miss Purser and Miss j Johnston: afternoon tea. Mrs. Melvin. [ Mrs. Cleile. Mrs. Tat ton and Miss Jack- | son The ba/.aar was continued in the j evening and will conclude I his evening j with a dance.
