Tho prosentat ion nf a leattier suitcase and a Icathrr bowling case was nuadc to Mr. R. 11 Boyd, who has been promoted from the position of chief postmaster at Hamilton to that of chief postmaster at Wellington, at a gathering of the Hamilton oflicc staff on Thursday evening. Mr. M. 11. Stitchburv made the presentation and said Mr. Boyd had effected many improvement- m service conditions at, Hamilton. He had won the respect and regard of the whole of the staff Several other senior officers also spoke. Mrs. Boyd was presented with an afternoon teaset. A large lumber o: parents visited tho Horuhora, Whangarei, school 011 Tliuisday alternoon, on the occasion of "tho farewell to Miss Campbell, who has been infant mistress at the school for a number ot years The smallest girl in the school, Wi.iine Podmore, presented Miss Campbell with a travelling rug, and a, bouquet ol (lowers was presented by Olga Englund, Vera Hirons and Elsa North.
