DESTRUCTIVE SQUALL.
LONDON'S EXPERIENCE. DAMAGE IN 30 SECONDS. British Wireless, RUGBY. Oct. 21. The havoc caused by the violent squall which struck central London on Monday evening proves to have l>eon more considerable than was at first estimated. In the Soho district the damage is estimated at between £15,000 and £20,000, although the storm lasted only about 30 seconds. The officials of the meteorological office of the Air Ministry aro investigating the occurrence. For this purpose they have asked for the loan of records of the recording barometers or any other recording meteorological instruments from anywhere within a radius of about 20 miles of Charing Cross.
