FIERCE WRESTLING.

DRAMATIC ENDING TO BOUT. REFEREE IN EXCHANGE BLOWS. In a wrestling contest in Brisbane on October 13 Ted Thyc (12st 71b), the former light heavy-weight champion of tho world, defeated John Kilonis (Greece) (12st lOib), after an exciting contest. Tho bout at times was rough, but only in retaliation did Thyo lend himself to questionable tactica. Body blows from Kilonis incensed the crowd, and one episode in the fifth round so aggravated the referee, Max Gornik, that he was momentarily embroiled in the exchange of blows with the Greek. The crowd was thrown into great excitement, but Thyc saved tho situation by stepping in between tho refereo and Kilonis and resuming the aggressive. Kilonis secured a submission fall with the Boston crab after two minutes 15 seconds' wrestling in tho third round. The American, after this setback, gave a wonderful exhibition. Tho moment tho bell rang for the seventh round Tliye flew at Kilonis, and wrist-locking him, jerked him to the mat with a resounding thud. The Greek was unable to rise, and appeared to be paralysed from the hips downwards. A medical man entered the ring, and after considerable massaging Kilonis was assisted to the dressing-room. The Stadium doctor stated it was a case of temporary paralysis, but he didn't fear any serious aftereffects, because massaging and hot applications would restore tho muscular system to normal. Thye expressed regret at tiio climax.
