The man made an endeavour to reach the edge of the cliff, hnt he was caught by Mr. Bruce and detained until a constable arrived in response to a telephone message from Mr. Gibson. The man, who told the police that ho was very worried, and had intended to leap from the clilts, was taken to the Reception House.
